Welcome to Bills! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bills web application (the "Service") provided by G2S Apps ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Bills is a comprehensive personal finance management tool that allows users to manage and review their financial transactions. Core features include:
- Manual import of transactions using OFX or CSV files
- Automatic bank integration via third-party provider Plaid for Pro tier subscribers
- Bill tracking and management for recurring payments and due dates
- Invoice generation for business users (Pro and Accountant tiers)
- Tax reporting and categorization for simplified tax preparation
- Wallet sharing for collaborative financial management
- Money box tracking for savings goals and financial planning
- Optional accountant data sharing when accounts are created through accountant referral links
2. Account Registration and Eligibility
2.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
2.2 Account Types and Plans
Bills offers multiple subscription tiers:
- Free Plan: Basic transaction management
- Start Plan: Includes bill tracking and expanded features
- Pro Plan: Full feature access including bank connections and invoicing
- Accountant Plan: Professional tools for accounting firms and their clients
2.3 Account Verification
We may require verification of your identity or other information before providing access to certain features.
3. Subscription Terms and Billing
3.1 Paid Subscriptions
- Subscription fees are billed in advance according to your selected billing period
- All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms
- We may change subscription fees with 30 days' advance notice
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
3.2 Free Trials
- Paid plans may include a free trial period as specified during signup
- We may require payment information to start a trial
- If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged for the subscription
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trials at any time
3.3 Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
4. Data Import and Third-Party Services
4.1 Manual Import
- You may upload financial data using supported file formats (OFX, CSV)
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of uploaded data
- We are not liable for data loss or corruption during the import process
4.2 Bank Integration via Plaid
For Pro tier subscribers, you can connect bank accounts through Plaid. By using this feature:
- You authorize Plaid to access your financial institution accounts on your behalf
- You acknowledge that we rely on Plaid for data accuracy and connectivity
- Issues related to bank connectivity should be directed to Plaid or your financial institution
- We are not responsible for bank connectivity interruptions or data quality issues
- You can disconnect bank accounts at any time through your account settings
4.3 Data Accuracy Disclaimer
While we strive to maintain data integrity, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of imported financial data and recommend regular verification against your official bank statements.
5. Accountant and Data Sharing
5.1 Accountant Access
If you create your account using an accountant's referral link:
- Your transaction data will be automatically shared with that accountant
- This sharing continues until you revoke access or close your account
- Shared data includes transactions, categorizations, and generated reports
- To revoke accountant access, contact support@g2s.app
5.2 Wallet Sharing
You may share wallet access with other users by:
- Sending invitations through the Service
- Managing permissions and access levels
- Revoking access at any time through your account settings
6. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Uses
6.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose of personal or business financial management.
6.2 Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Use the Service for illegal activities or fraud
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6.3 Data Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notifying us immediately of any suspected security breaches
- Using the Service in accordance with applicable data protection laws
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Service Ownership
The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by G2S Apps and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 User Content
- You retain ownership of financial data you upload to the Service
- You grant us a limited license to process and display your data as necessary to provide the Service
- We do not claim ownership of your financial information
7.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without compensation or attribution.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
9. Service Availability and Support
9.1 Service Availability
- We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
- We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our reasonable control
9.2 Customer Support
- Free plan users receive community support
- Paid plan users receive priority email support
- Support is provided in English and Portuguese during standard business hours
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Service Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10.2 Limitation of Damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, G2S Apps and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions or security breaches
- Issues related to third-party services such as Plaid
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
10.3 Maximum Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless G2S Apps from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your uploaded content or data
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Canceling your subscription through account settings
- Contacting support to close your account
- Requesting data deletion in compliance with applicable privacy laws
12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms or our policies
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Pose a security risk to the Service or other users
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease immediately
- We may delete your account and data according to our data retention policy
- You remain liable for any outstanding fees
- Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination
13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at support@g2s.app to seek an informal resolution.
13.2 Binding Arbitration
Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in British Columbia, Canada, under the rules of the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
13.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
14. Changes to Terms
14.1 Modification Right
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website or notification through the Service.
14.2 Notification
For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via:
- Notification within the Service
- Posting on our website
14.3 Continued Use
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any legal proceedings relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and G2S Apps regarding the Service.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16.3 Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
16.4 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or internet outages.
